Landfill Gas-To-Energy Plant Addition

Project Description: The project consisted of installing landfill gas conditioning equipment at a local landfill to run three Jenbacher JMS320 gensets with downstream heat recovery steam generators (HRSG). The facility produced 125 psig of saturated steam from the engine exhaust and hot water from the engine jacket for use in a nearby correctional facility.

Scope of Work: Sega provided the mechanical design for the landfill gas conditioning site, as well as the mechanical design and structural design for the cogeneration plant. Sega’s scope included, but was not limited to, the following:

    • Mechanical Design
    • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Piping Specifications
    • Piping Plans, Elevations, & Isometrics
    • Pipe Support, Heat Trace, & Insulation Details
    • Instrument Details
    • Structural Design
    • HRSG Access & Maintenance Platform Design
