  • Wyandotte Municipal Electric Plant, City of Wyandotte, Michigan

Sega was subcontracted to Golder Associates to perform a Technical and Cost Assessment of Impingement and Entrainment Reduction Technology Options. Options included expanded intake, intake relocation, cylindrical fine mesh wedge-wire screens, and increased operation of traveling screens. The assessment included obtaining and reviewing design arrangement drawings, a site visit, obtaining vendor information, elimination of non-feasible options, and performing cost analyses of feasible options.

  • Nebraska Public Power District – Gerald Gentleman Station and Canaday Station

Sega was subcontracted to Golder Associates to perform a Technical and Cost Assessment of Impingement Reduction Technology Options. Options included duel-flow type traveling screens with fish protection, thru-flow type traveling screens with fish protection, drum or rotating type screens with fish protection, and retrofit of existing screens with upgraded fish protection technology. The assessment included obtaining and reviewing design arrangement drawings, a site visit, obtaining vendor information, elimination of non-feasible options, and performing cost analyses of feasible options.

Sega managed the one-year long Impingement Mortality sampling project at a group of five Missouri River power plants located in the Kansas City region. Sega teamed with staff from Golder Associates (sampling management) and Three Rivers Environmental Assessments (sampling contractor).

Sega managed an effort to identify and summarize the potential implications of the proposed 316(b) Phase III Rules on a district energy production plant with a once-through cooling water intake structure on the Missouri River. Sega teamed with staff from Golder Associates.

Sega managed the development of a 316(b) compliance implementation plan (CIP) and preparation of the Proposal for Information Collection (PIC) document. Sega teamed with and supervised staff from Golder Associates (subcontractor).
