Sega Inc. History
Past and Present
Sega was founded in 1973 to provide technical services to steam
plants and electric utility generating stations. In those early
years, our primary objectives were to maintain high quality and to
follow strong ethical business principles while developing a solid
financial foundation for our business operations.
This approach of ethics, quality, and financial integrity was
well received by our clients and Sega enjoyed steady growth. Our
clients further demonstrated their satisfaction by offering Sega
additional engineering responsibilities and opportunities. Following
our tradition of responsiveness to client requests, we expanded to
include multidiscipline professional engineering services.
Today, led by an experienced core of senior staff, Sega provides
a full range of energy-related technical and engineering services
which include planning, design, design/build, software development,
and field services. Traditional consulting services, combined with
specialized control and instrumentation capabilities, make Sega
unique when compared with most engineering firms. The combination of
good business principles and a technically experienced staff, plus
responsiveness to clients, has earned Sega the long-standing
reputation for technical excellence that we continue to enjoy today.
